The technique and experience for the real sports experience.
Nearly 100,000 visitors attended the fifth edition of the Invictus Games, this time hosted in the Netherlands, from April 16-22, 2022. The Invictus Games use the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and foster greater understanding and respect for wounded and sick military personnel. More than 500 participants from 20 countries came to The Hague to compete in various adapted sports. Based in part on our extensive portfolio of live and sporting events, Faber was chosen as video partner. We responded to the requirements with various video solutions, video processing, plus the deployment of our technicians and equipment such as LED walls and monitors.

Extended deployment LED
In the stadium specially built for the Invictus Games in the Zuiderpark in The Hague, both the opening and closing ceremonies took place. For the LED wall backdrop, we supplied 90 m2 of LED. In addition, extra LED lanes ran along the back wall. At the athletics tracks, we built two LED screens on which results and race schedules were displayed. For the marathons, we deployed a mobile LED screen.
Content playout
Performances by Direct and Kaiser Chiefs were an important part of the entertainment during both ceremonies. Our media server specialist ensured that content was broadcast on screens during the performances. That content consisted primarily of visuals to support the bands’ shows.
120 monitors
Across the entire grounds of the Invictus Games in the Zuiderpark, we provided 120 LCD screens. We placed these monitors in the various hospitality areas and along the walking routes. The content for these screens was controlled from a central direction room. This made it possible to keep the public and the press up to date at all times.
