Beurs van Berlage strengthens innovative power by extending the cooperation with AV partners Faber Audiovisuals and Ampco Flashlight.
Amsterdam Conference Centre Beurs van Berlage, Ampco Flashlight and Faber Audiovisuals extend their successful cooperation. In the coming years, they will work together on innovative initiatives. Together with its partners, Beurs van Berlage has already launched several innovations, including a virtual event studio.
Innovation for a high-level experience
Beurs van Berlage has been a leading event venue that is known for its 5-star service and flexibility. That is why in the past two years, Beurs van Berlage adapted to the new situation as quickly as possible. Together with its regular partners Faber Audiovisuals and Ampco Flashlight, investments were made in the possibilities of hybrid and virtual events. This resulted in the creation of the unique Studio Berlage in the Effectenbeurszaal. Managing Director Marcel Schonenberg of Beurs of Berlage is happy with the innovation: “We continue to develop and innovate so that we can guarantee that your event will always succeed in offering the highest level in experience, interaction and result. No matter how targeted and small-scale or ambitious and demanding your event is”.
Ampco Flashlight and Faber Audiovisuals join forces to deliver the best facilities for Beurs van Berlage. Sales Manager Marc Lubberts of Ampco Flashlight explains: “What gives me great satisfaction is that together with Faber Audiovisuals, we are able to present ourselves as one party, offering Beurs van Berlage a complete package of technologies. Thus, we have installed an extensive fixed base set of light, sound, rigging, and video. The close collaboration is also reflected in the fact that we have a coordinator at the Beurs who is the first point of contact on behalf of Ampco Flashlights and Faber for additional technology needs of the Event Managers of the Beurs.”
Hybrid: all advantages of live and online combined
In the past two years, the demand for hybrid and virtual events has surged. That is why together with the partners, a second Virtual Event Studio, Studio 1903, was realized in the Administatiezaal of Beurs of Berlage. The monumental space is set up as a virtual event studio with authentic Berlage furniture and professional AV equipment. The ideal combination between the history of the Beurs and the innovative ideas of today.
The fact that a monument such as Beurs van Berlage is a springboard for innovative ideas does not surprise the partners; the mission of the Amsterdam Conference Centre is to exceed expectations. “Innovation is the creating force behind that”, emphasizes Cees Jan Faber, CEO of Faber Audiovisuals. It requires taking a solution-oriented, constructive approach in the facilitation of unforgettable events. “You must not forget that before the pandemic, we were already working on hybrid events in addition to the live events, because they offer all the advantages of live and online combined. A fantastic, fast-scalable experience for the audience at the venue and the visitors online.” Dick van Berkum, CEO of Ampco Flashlight, adds: “We can deliver a lot in terms of light, sound, and rigging, which makes for a successful collaboration”.
The partnership has proven strong enough to cope with challenges such as the coronavirus pandemic. Schonenberg: “We manage to do so also by making smart investments at the right time. Apart from recent investments in audio, light, and rigging, the Beurs now also has a curved LED screen, a digital stage set that is unique in the Netherlands”. This Curve has been installed in the Effectenbeurszaal, which has a capacity of 700 visitors. Faber adds: “Thanks to the stage-wide size and the curved set-up of this high-resolution LED wall, everybody can see the speaker on the stage and the online participant perfectly well next to each other. Thanks to this, The Curve offers unprecedented possibilities for hybrid events. Speakers may interact directly with both the live and online audience. The LED wall can be transformed into a fully dynamic décor. In short, this is an example of an innovation, showing how we can successfully implement our cooperation for our customers. And face the future with confidence.”
