Faber Audiovisuals donates € 10,000 to National Children’s Fund

On Tuesday 20 February, the National Children’s Fund received a cheque for €10,000 from Minke Jager of Faber Audiovisuals. The donation is the first in a new annual tradition that Faber Audiovisuals has initiated this year.
The donation was made following the decision by Faber Audiovisuals to make an annual donation to a good cause. Even in this time of economic recovery, many people still live below the poverty line. Particularly for children, this causes severe daily stress and concern. “It’s something that no child should have to bear,” says Minke Jager. “As a company, we are keen to fulfil our social responsibility. For this reason, we chose the National Children’s Fund as this year’s good cause.”
“My visit to the offices of the National Children’s Fund in Deventer has convinced me even more that Faber Audiovisuals’ donation will be put to good use,” Jager continues. “The fund’s working methods are described very clearly and the employees are always striving to find new ways to help more children. This inspires us to make a structural contribution through Faber. The thank-you wall with pictures and thank-you notes from children helped by the foundation was very moving. We feel privileged to be in a position to support this excellent cause.”
The National Children’s Fund helps children growing up in poverty in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, this concerns one in eight children, representing 421,000 children who are unable to participate along with other children and have adult concerns. The fund helps them by making simple things possible, such as swimming lessons, paying for a school trip, treats on their birthdays, a day out, a bicycle, training, tutoring, sports club contributions or access to a laptop. Because these children should also be able to participate, and they deserve a bright future.[divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”25″][social_buttons full_width_icons=”true” facebook=”true” twitter=”true” google_plus=”true” linkedin=”true” pinterest=”true”]
